By solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). After synthesis the crude peptide is cleaved from the resin, purified by reversed-phase HPLC, lyophilised and sealed in glass vials. A sample from every lot then goes to an independent laboratory for HPLC purity and pH testing.
